As I look back through all of the images taken at the weddings from this year, I feel very emotional!  I have met some amazing people, made some fantastic friends and got to witness the best moments that only a wedding day brings.

I have laughed along with you and cried tears with you.  I have jumped into help (I am a whizz at doing up wedding dresses now!), and I have stood back and observed the most wonderful things unfold in front of my camera.

The more weddings I photograph, the more I love it.  No wedding is the same.  I feel honoured every time someone asks me along to their day and as I get to know each couple, I really look forward to photographing each one.

This year has been the most difficult year for me personally.  I have lost somebody who I loved very dearly, after a short battle with a terminal illness.  These things sadly come out of the blue and knock you off your feet.  Experiences like this shape you as a person and you come out of it a little bit different.  It has made me stronger, made me realise what is important in life and has made me live in the moment, taking in the ‘here and now’.  It has deepened my love for photography and made me more passionate about capturing the people you love and the moments that truly matter.

So as we draw close to seeing this year end, I have gathered together some of my favourite images from my weddings this year.  As I was choosing the images, I realised that my favourite moments captured are the natural ones.  Most of these moments unfolded in front of my eyes.  Real moments, real people.  I love what I do!

Here is to a big and bright 2018.  I have amazing weddings lined up and I have never looked forward to a new year more!
